Problems of Practice Office Hours are a new event format to create more opportunities for GBEN members to connect with each other in a less structured format. We envision holding a space each month where a GBEN member suggests a topic or current problem that they’re dealing with, and folks who are experiencing a similar issue or are interested in the issue show up for a lightly facilitated discussion.
Our next office hours will be on Thursday, January 18th at 12:30 pm. This time, we're doing something a little bit different - we'll be hosting our first debate! The question up for discussion is: To publish or not to publish?
Patrick Kinner will host and lightly facilitate the session. Daniel Parmer will take the affirmative position, and Kara Bixby will take the opposing position. After brief remarks, we will invite GBEN members to join the debate, share their thoughts, and pick a side!
